What are wellness activities and how do they help me?

This is actually a frequently asked question and to be honest, the answers are different for everybody. As no two people are the same, it’s normal for us to achieve wellness in different ways. For some, the idea of achieving wellness looks like being physically fit, and for others it may look like having strong connections with friends or reaching a new level of relaxation and tranquillity.

Wellness can often be a combination of physical, spiritual, social and emotional dimensions of wellbeing. These dimensions can carry a different level of importance and need depending on each individual. Through achieving wellness, we are able to improve our overall level of wellbeing which in turn, has a direct effect on our everyday actions and emotions.

You may be asking what kind of wellness activities The Christina Ghobadi Foundation can offer through their wellness grants. The Foundation supports a growing number of wellness activities that are spread across all dimensions of health. Particular activities that have been popular amongst past recipients include:

  • Yoga classes
  • Gym memberships
  • Dance classes
  • Sports equipment
  • Wellness retreats
  • Smartwatches
  • Weekends away
  • Pottery classes

The wellness activities offered through the Christina Ghobadi Foundation are not limited to the ones listed above. The activities provided through the wellness grants have helped our recipients work towards achieving a sense of wellbeing. Through the testimonials of past recipients, we have listed below a number of different ways that the grants have helped.

How to choose the right activity for you?

When applying for these grants you may feel like it’s a daunting process if you’re not sure on how you would use it.
