No, you cannot claim a tax deduction for any donations made to the Christina Ghobadi Foundation. Although we are a registered charity, we do not currently have deductible gift recipient (DGR) status with the Australian Tax Office (ATO).
To be eligible for a wellness grant, you must firstly be referred to us by a healthcare professional, such as your doctor, nurse or social worker. The Wellness Grants Referral Form can be downloaded from our website.
Once we receive this referral form, we will make contact with you and invite you to complete a simple grant application form. You will be advised of the outcome of your application within four weeks of receiving your completed grant application form.

Every donation goes directly towards our grant-giving program. For example:
- $20 will fund one yoga or meditation class for a young person
- $150 will fund a series of well-being seminars or classes for a young person
- $500 will fund a weekend spiritual retreat for a young person
As a charity run entirely by volunteers, we are able to keep our administrative and overhead costs to a minimum.
